Terms of Service for Bids and Quotations


The following terms apply to all bids, quotations, and contracts issued by Builders Laminates & Casework (BLC):

Scope of Work

This bid reflects the scope of work as outlined in the provided project documents at the time of submission. Any changes, omissions, or additions to the scope of work will require a revised bid or pricing adjustment, which will be submitted for approval.

Pricing and Validity

All pricing provided in this bid is valid for 30 days from the issue date unless otherwise stated. Pricing is based on the materials, labor, and market conditions at the time of quotation. BLC reserves the right to adjust pricing due to significant changes in material costs, labor availability, or project requirements.

Delivery and Acceptance

Once materials are delivered to the job site or an agreed location, responsibility for their security and proper storage transfers to the receiving party. Any damage, loss, or theft of materials after delivery will not be the responsibility of BLC.

Lead Times and Scheduling

Estimated lead times and production schedules will be communicated upon acceptance of the bid and receipt of all necessary approvals, designs, and deposits (if applicable). Any delays caused by the receiving party (e.g., late approvals, site readiness) may result in adjustments to the project schedule.

Payment Terms

Payment terms will be outlined in the final contract or agreement. Standard terms 50% at project approval and 50% due at time of delivery, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. 

Storage of Completed Products

If the receiving party is not ready to accept delivery of completed products within 30 of the agreed delivery date, BLC reserves the right to charge storage fees.

Warranty

BLC warrants its workmanship and materials for a period of One (1) year from the date of substantial completion. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper installation by third parties, neglect, or acts of nature.

Discrepancies and Approvals

Any discrepancies, errors, or omissions discovered after bid submission will be promptly communicated to the client. BLC reserves the right to revise the bid or adjust pricing to address such issues.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from this bid or subsequent agreements will be resolved through 3rd party mediation based in Maryland.

Force Majeure

BLC is not responsible for delays or inability to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, or government actions.
